Get started with PreviewFlows in four steps

PreviewFlows puts your live Klaviyo flow emails on the Figma canvas — full-length email previews, grouped per flow, badged live/manual/draft/removed — so you can audit, redesign, and present flows without stitching screenshots.

Step 1 — Create your account

1. Go to previewflows.com and sign up (email or Google — the free plan needs no card).
2. Create a workspace. Everything — connected Klaviyo accounts, email previews, billing — belongs to the workspace, so your whole team can share it. Invite teammates from the workspace menu in the header (Manage organization → Members).

Step 2 — Install the Figma plugin

1. Install the PreviewFlows plugin from the Figma Community (or press Open in Figma in the dashboard header).
2. Run the plugin in Figma desktop and press Sign in with PreviewFlows. Your browser opens: the plugin shows a 6-character code, and the browser shows the same code — confirm they match in the browser. You never type the code anywhere.

Step 3 — Add a Klaviyo account

You need a read-only private API key from Klaviyo. It takes under a minute, and PreviewFlows can then look at your flows and templates but never send, edit, or delete anything.

1. In Klaviyo, open Settings → Account → API keys and press Create Private API Key.
2. Name it “PreviewFlows” and choose Read-only Key.
3. Create it and copy the key (it starts with pk_).
4. Paste it in the plugin (the + button next to the account picker, or Add a Klaviyo account on first run) or on the dashboard. The key is checked, stored encrypted, and never kept inside Figma.

Prefer not to create a key? On the dashboard you can also Connect with your Klaviyo login, which uses Klaviyo’s own consent screen with the same read-only access.

Step 4 — Get your previews

1. In the plugin, pick the Klaviyo account and press Get my email previews. The first run reads your flows, renders every email in a real browser, and places them on the canvas — one tidy frame per flow. Budget about 12 seconds per email on that first run (a 50-email account is roughly 10 minutes; a 120-email account about 25). You can keep working, or even close the plugin and pick the previews up when you’re back.
2. From then on the button reads Update canvas. Every press checks Klaviyo for changes and only re-renders the emails that changed; unchanged ones are reused. If nothing changed, it finishes in well under a minute and costs nothing against your plan.
3. Updates happen in place: previews refresh where they are, so your layout and annotations never move.
4. You can also press Update previews on the dashboard — same thing, without opening Figma. Then press Open in Figma and Update canvas to place them.

Reading the canvas

Every preview is badged so you can see flow state at a glance:

• Red outline — this email is live right now.
• Blue outline — the flow is in manual mode: active, but Klaviyo holds its sends for manual review.
• Greyed — draft (the email or its whole flow is in draft).
• Faded, dashed — removed from Klaviyo since the last update.

Under each preview you’ll find its subject line, preview text, and a note when it contains a product-recommendation block (paid plans). Flow titles click through to the flow in Klaviyo.

Keeping it current automatically

Paid plans can auto-refresh connected Klaviyo accounts weekly, daily, or hourly (dashboard → the account’s Auto-refresh selector). Because only changed emails are re-rendered, scheduled checks on an unchanged account are free; only emails that actually re-render count toward your monthly preview allowance. Open the plugin and press Update canvas to place the latest previews.

Plans and limits

The free plan includes 1 connected Klaviyo account, 150 email previews, and 1 re-render run per month — updates that find nothing changed don’t count. Paid plans and beta pricing are at previewflows.com/pricing.

Disconnecting

Dashboard → the account’s row → Disconnect. For an account connected with your Klaviyo login this also revokes PreviewFlows at Klaviyo. For an account connected with an API key, we delete our copy of the key — to fully revoke access, also delete the key in Klaviyo (Settings → Account → API keys). Preview images expire automatically after 7 days regardless. In the plugin, Sign out unlinks that copy of the plugin from your workspace.
